Modular. Innovative. Contemporary.
Inspired by Madeira’s Casas Típicas de Santana, this contemporary cabin reinterprets vernacular form through a precise, modern language. Triangular frames support an asymmetrical pitched roof, creating a distinctive profile while optimising shelter, durability, and spatial efficiency.
Clad in charred timber, the exterior is robust and low-maintenance, contrasted by strategic glazing that brings in natural light and frames key views.
The modular system allows for flexible configurations—from standalone units to clustered layouts—supporting a range of client needs and phased site development.
Internally, a compact, adaptable layout and restrained material palette deliver a warm, calm environment. Colour or material accents can be tailored to reflect client identity.
A flexible, high-performance cabin that balances contemporary design with the character of Madeiran vernacular architecture.
